Alameda Turquesa is an independent, family-owned brand that began its journey in 2012 on Facebook, sparked by a simple yet exquisite creation: a pom-pom bracelet handcrafted by Ana for her two daughters. Following the overwhelming success of her bracelets and necklaces, which went viral online, Alameda Turquesa evolved into a luxury footwear brand in 2014, bringing its signature bracelets to footwear design. That same year, the iconic ‘Matisse’ and ‘Santorini’ pom-pom sandals took the fashion world by storm, worn and celebrated by style icons such as Anna Dello Russo and Chiara Ferragni, who shared their love for Alameda Turquesa on Instagram.
Founded by a mother-daughter duo, Ana and Carolina, Alameda Turquesa is a testament to passion turned into artistry. Ana, an entrepreneur, and Carolina, a trained architect with a master’s degree from one of Europe’s top architecture schools, transformed a hobby into a thriving brand, driven by a shared love for craftsmanship and design.
In 2017, Alameda Turquesa introduced another groundbreaking collection, 'Pearls & Seashells’, which remains a best-seller to this day. Designs like ‘Ariel’ and ‘Guadeloupe’ have become some of the brand’s most recognizable and beloved pieces.
Recognized by Footwear News as one of the industry’s rising stars, Alameda Turquesa is renowned for its signature pom-pom and tassel embellishments, seamlessly blending tradition with modern luxury. Every piece is handcrafted in Portugal, a country celebrated for its exceptional shoemaking heritage, ensuring the finest quality and meticulous attention to detail.
The brand has garnered global recognition, with style icons such as Kylie Jenner, Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, Cindy Crawford, Kelly Rutherford, Olivia Palermo, Amanda Gorman, Irina Shayk, Lily Collins, Katy Perry, Princess Alexandra of Hanover, Sofia Vergara, Emma Roberts, and Eva Chen. Alameda Turquesa’s designs have been featured in prestigious international publications, including Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, and Glamour, solidifying its status as a sought-after name in fashion.
In 2018, the brand expanded its legacy with the launch of its statement handbags, which quickly gained international acclaim. 
By 2021, Forbes declared that “Alameda Turquesa created the ‘It’ shoe in the middle of a pandemic,” referring to the iconic Pinctada Shearling Pearl Sandals that debuted in 2020.
In 2024, Alameda Turquesa made its debut on the global stage of Emily in Paris, with the main character, Emily, wearing our designs in the series. This remarkable feature brought our brand to an even wider international audience, solidifying our presence in the world of high fashion and luxury. Being part of such an iconic series was a true milestone, and we are beyond grateful for the opportunity to see Alameda Turquesa shine on screen.
